From the Principals

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Lista for earning Elks Teacher of the Year for Westminster Public Schools! It is no surprise to us that one of our amazing teachers was chosen for this honor. Mr. Lista has work at CSA as the technology teacher since we opened our doors in 2013. He works tirelessly to support students learning technology skills for the future, so please join us in congratulating him!

This month, we have had many exciting opportunities for our students. The Z-Space bus visited our school allowing students to try their hand at virtual reality simulations. Also, many of our intermediate and middle school students started volunteering during their recess inside our Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classrooms. These student mentors received training on how to support teacher instruction, working with younger students, expectations, etc. The positive feed-back from intermediate and middle school students has been amazing. Similarly, the elementary students enjoy the one-on-one attention from an older student. We hope to see this program take off giving our older students an additional re-cess option.

Spring Break is upon us! Please enjoy some much needed time off before the push to the end of the school year. Our spring is blooming with events. Please see the calendar on the back page as well as visit the PTA webpage for volunteer opportunities. Remember, PARCC begins soon after we return from Spring Break. We look forward to seeing all students back at school April 4th, as April 3rd is non-student contact day.

Kind Regards,

Brenda Martin & Heather McGuire
